Why Join the SBCVC?
The Santa Barbara County Veterans Collaborative serves as a forum for veteran-serving organizations to:
- Foster communication.
- Build collaborative relationships.
- Facilitate identification of duplications and gaps in services.
- Encourage the development of informed services that improve veteran wellness.
The Collaborative does not serve veterans directly; rather, it brings veteran-serving organizations together to strengthen their collective impact. The majority of our participating agencies are direct service providers.

Every organization that joins is invited to present at one of our monthly convenings โ a few minutes to introduce your team, show how you help veterans, and connect directly with the other services in the room. For smaller nonprofits — and anyone who wants to help but isn’t sure how to engage the other services — it’s the fastest way to build relationships and become part of the network.
